We’re Shane and Tia, a husband-and-wife photography team based in the breathtaking Smoky Mountains of Tennessee. Our story is one of second chances, a little bit of scandal, and a whole lot of love—the kind of romance we love capturing for our couples.

We first met as high school sweethearts in a small Oregon town (Shane was a freshman, Tia was a senior—yes, everyone talked about it!). Life took us in different directions when Tia left to study photojournalism in college, but love has a way of finding its path. By Shane’s senior year, he made a bold declaration of love, and we found ourselves back together—this time long distance. It wasn’t easy, but it was worth it.

Our proposal? Pure magic. After a chaotic beach trip and a car stuck in the sand, Shane turned the night into a fairytale with a walk through the glowing International Rose Test Garden in Portland. Soft music, shimmering lights, and a single knee later—Tia said “yes!”

In 2003, we tied the knot in a garden ceremony surrounded by friends and family. Today, we’re raising our two amazing kids in the Smoky Mountains, where we’ve built not only a life we love, but a business built on capturing stories like ours.

For us, photography isn’t just about images—it’s about moments. The laughter between vows, the quiet tears, the way the mountains frame your love story. We believe in preserving it all, beautifully and authentically.
